Something shocked me

I remember when I was a child I want with a school trip to a place called (Al-Aqaba). The teachers wanted to show us the only port in my country. It was a desert with old building. There was one main street on it beside the port. Also, a few people lived there and they depend on fishing. After many years I went to visit it, since I heard from people that it was changed. When I arrived to it I really shocked, I cannot believe how much it changed. The streets were wide, lighted, and full of trees in both sides. I cannot imagine how the beach looked different with light, boats, and people. Moreover, the buildings were tall, pretty, and populated. Al-Aqaba considered a tourist place now. If you want to visit Al-Aqaba don’t worry, you will find a lot of hotels to sleep and to see it.

Strange Thing

I have travelled to many countries in the world. I tried many different foods in these countries. What I can say about my self that I cannot try any food if I did not like the shape of it. I remember that I try some food not stranger but I did not like it at all. Shrimp, many people eat it, but I cannot. One day when I was with my husband in the restaurant, he liked to eat shrimp. Then he asked me to eat it, he told me that it is delicious like fish, and after many attempts I ate it. It was not bad, but I felt that I ate a strange thing. For me it was a stranger thing I ate it, and it was unpleasant. I do not think I will try it again, but I buy it to my family since they like it very much.

My Legacy

To all people whom I love, to my children, I will write some things I learned from this life. I hope you read these things to know who I am. Know that these days are only a bridge to the judgment day, so life can not tolerate a heavy sleep. You must be active in your life.What I thought from life become part of my characteristic. I learned yesterday is that a check has been withdrawn, and tomorrow is a deferred check, and the present is the only one available, therefore we have to treat wisely with it. I was succeeding in my life because the dictionary of my life does not contain the words “if” or “but”. Know that happiness is not achieved in the absence of problems in our life, but they achieved in overcoming these problems. Smile, yes it doesn’t cost you anything, but its mean a lot and maybe it will let many bleak hearts happy. Be strong, and know it is better to live one day a lion than live a hundred year a sheep. Also, be strong enough to deal with any problem that may hurt you. I left this legacy to you and do not be sad if you remember me, you must say we have a good time with each other.

Jordan’s Traditions

There are many stereotypes in my country, Jordan. Today I will talk about one which is very interesting. The popular folklore for the task force of the Ramtha .It was created since 1940's. It includes twenty five men as dancers. This group adopt (Dabkah) as a basic in the performance of popular folklore. It depended in turn on the music for this group, with the rhythm of drums and with the sound made by a stroke of the feet of dancers. This thing accompanied by the singing voice, which in turn give the directions to the dancers. Also, this group involved in local and international festivals. There is a festival, which is held every year in my country and Ramtha’s folklore is one of the most important event in it. In these days, everywhere you present a wedding party in Jordan you will be interested with (Dabkah). The groom invited this group to celebrate weddings with his family and guests. They song a popular songs mentioned the name of groom. You will be very interested if you see like this show.

Jordan’s flag

I am from Jordan, which located in southwest Asia. My national flag rise on the tallest flagpole in the world. The Jordanian flag has three bands with different colors. On the top the band’s color is black, which is symbolizes the Abbasside Caliphate. In the middle there is white band, which is symbolizes Umayyad Caliphate. At the bottom, there is green band which symbolized Fatimid Caliphate. All of these bands are connected by a triangle which is red and it refers to Hashemite dynasty. In the middle of triangle there is a star with seven points. These points represent the first surah in the holy Quran, since it consists from seven verses. Also, some people believe that Amman, which is the capital of Jordan, was built over seven hills. The flag of my country is efficient in 16 April 1928.
